March 24 | Tranzo Care Salon: Valuing experience knowledge and collaboration in addiction care and youth work
During this online care salon, we focused on collaboration between youth work and health and well-being for youth with addiction problems, the input of experience knowledge into adult addiction treatment, and the role of the organization Black Hole/Mind in policy.

May 19 | Symposium: Improvements Based on a Pandemic
During the biennial symposium of the Academic Collaborative Center Public Health North Brabant, administrators, policy makers, researchers, and other interested parties were invited to reflect on the shared experiences with the coronavirus pandemic in 2020 and 2021. Fueled by knowledge and insights from practice, policy, and science, we looked forward and explored social opportunities presented by this pandemic.

In honor of Henk Garretsen’s(new window) appointment as an Officer in the Order of Orange Nassau(new window), the first Henk Garretsen Lecture was given. The lecture is organised every two years to give a stage to innovative scientific insights that bridge science and practice.
This first lecture Participation, Systems Thinking, and another Crisis was given by Rik Crutzen Professor of Behaviour Change & Technology at the Department of Health Promotion, of the Care and Public Health Research Institute, Maastricht University.

June 15 & 16 | Fuse International Conference Learning from Setbacks and Successes
This two-day international conference took place in the United Kingdom. The goal was to create a safe space where academics, practitioners, and policy makers could reflect together on the potential threats to successful knowledge exchange in order to develop important lessons on how to improve knowledge exchange practices and research and turn setbacks into successes.
June 23 | Webinar Implementing fall prevention for frail older adults in primary care
During the webinar, both research findings from the implementation project (Tranzo) and national policy in the field of fall prevention for older adults (VeiligheidNL) were presented. This was followed by an interactive panel discussion on fall prevention care. This project was a collaboration between Tranzo, Nivel, Zorggroep PrimaCura, and Thebe Wijkverpleging.

June 30 | Tranzo Care Salon Person-Centered Care for Older Adults
The following questions were addressed: How can we ensure that older adults maintain quality of life when they need more care and how can we ensure, for example, that they retain more autonomy? Can a person-centered approach contribute to the quality of life of older adults in nursing homes? We explored this topic from three perspectives.

July 8 | Seminar Unequal Opportunities in Work and Health: Perspectives for Sustainable Participation
In the field of labor, well-being, and health, the effects of specific interventions have been studied. How can we promote the opportunities and capabilities of participants and thus contribute to sustainable participation? This seminar addressed these issues from different perspectives: labor and HR management, social security, care and well-being, and mental health.
September 14 | AWVB on Tour kickoff
The Academic Collaborative Center Living with Intellectual Disabilities (AWVB) launched the celebration of its 10th anniversary in 2022 with a festive and substantive tour of its partner organizations(new window) in the care of people with intellectual disabilities. The AWVB on Tour literally brought knowledge from AWVB research projects(new window) into practice through lectures and workshops and shared it with people with intellectual disabilities, their next of kin, and care professionals. The second part of the AWVB on Tour will take place in 2023.
September 16 | Symposium Do I or don’t I tell? Job applications and the openness dilemma
Especially for professionals from reintegration practice, the stigma awareness intervention, consisting of the Dutch decision aid CORAL.NL and a stigma awareness training for reintegration professionals, was discussed with contributions from practice, science, and policy. Among others, two experts by experience took us through their personal experiences regarding the openness dilemma at work.
September 22 | Tranzo Care Salon No implementation without co-creation
We addressed the importance of co-creation in being able to implement research and innovations in practice. What helps to actually use developed innovations in practice? What is the added value of involving healthcare professionals? How do municipalities collaborate with youth, parents, and professionals to ensure that projects succeed?

September 30 | Symposium Psychology of Older Adults: from psychosomatics to heroic tragedy
Together with the Department of Medical and Clinical Psychology, we organized a symposium on the challenge of providing appropriate treatments for older adults with mental disorders. Speakers addressed recent developments in psychodiagnostics and psychotherapy in older adults from living at home to the nursing home and GGZ.
